Kahawatu aims to support East African coffee producing communities to achieve economic, social and environmental sustainability. Our activities focus on enabling smallholder coffee farmers, both men and women, to increase productivity and optimize income via improved technical skills, access to agricultural inputs and to markets.  We enforce an holistic approach which empower the entire household and protects soils, water and ecosystems.

Fundamental, sustainable change has to be made at the grass roots level - building the capacity of smallholder growers and their families is the focus of our work
